After winning the All School Show (they didn't award places, so everyone who won, won equally), I gave up work on the Braces. I felt like it would be too easy to dwell on the past and that it would be best if I took a break and started looking outwardly. I did still like the visual aspect of the pieces, so a year later I tried making the pieces more functional. I made some copper braces, blew bubbles in them, flattened the bottoms, opened the tops, then voila! Since I was trying to distance them from me, I started calling them corsets instead of braces and decided to market them.
